At The Society Hotel, we believe in making every traveler feel authentically connected to our community so they are ready to enjoy our beautiful city from day one. We offer three ways to experience our unique hotel: bunk rooms for the affordable community experience; private rooms with shared bathrooms for comfort without excess; and suites for a bit of affordable luxury. All of our rooms come with plush beds, 10-foot windows, high speed wifi, and a hospitality experience unlike any other.

Indulge in our most luxurious offering with our most recently renovated premium suites. The premium suite also features an ensuite bath, as well as a sofa and coffee table, large windows, ideal positioning within the hotel, and the largest floor plan out of all our rooms.

For our guests seeking the full hotel experience while still capturing that sense of community found in old-world lodging houses, our private rooms make ideal accommodations. Private rooms feature full and queen bed options for a restful stay, includes a sink and vanity, and a shared bath one might expect to find in an European boarding house.

Get the most bed for your buck in one of our hostel-style bunks in the bunk room.
With our custom-built triple-tall bunks, you’ll get both community and privacy, all with some of the lowest rates in downtown Portland. Each bunk has a storage locker, charging station, reading light, and privacy curtain. Twin-size luxury mattresses and quiet hours ensure you’ll get solid night’s sleep. Plus, you’ll get the opportunity to make new friends or grow closer with old ones, as you share time together at the community table or kitchen area.
Please note: As our bunk room is intended for travelers, we are unable to accommodate residents of the Portland/Vancouver Metro area, and their residence cannot be within 50 miles. Government-issued ID showing residence outside of this area is required upon check-in.

You’re steps from the waterfront, the Burnside Bridge, and the restaurants, shops, and concert venues that make Old Town Chinatown worth exploring. Back at the hotel, gather on the rooftop deck, book time in the rooftop spa and sauna, or take over a table in the lobby cafe.
